Which CPU?

Which CPU should i take? (I want to stream and i just need some info)

i9-9900KS or the i7-9700k

( I have a RTX 2070 Super )

Doesn't matter, use NVENC on the GPU for encoding.

Owh, I saw a video that streaming is based on CPU, But do you have more information for me?

Honestly it doesn't matter a ton. Both are very good but if you intend to play mostly GPU games go with I7. CPU intensive games will run just find on either.

Really unless you want prestige of having an I9 go with the I7.

 

Also consider trying Ryzen instead.

Ryzen is a lot better for streaming in my opinion and you can get a very good core for a lot less. 

 

For instance the RYZEN 7 2700x is on sale for 164$ in the US right now.

 

It outperforms the I7 9th gen from my experiance as well

But i already got the i9-9900ks shipped to me rn, But i was thinking i'd perhaps trade it for another CPU

Bear in mind that NVENC is a dedicated hardware encoder so it's not going to suck up a bunch of your GPU power to do the encoding.

Don’t over pay for intel. Do you already have the motherboard? You could probably get a 3700x and motherboard for the price of the i9

Why? It's pretty much the best gaming CPU, is there a reason to trade it out?

They said they already have the 9900KS shipped, and it slaps a 3700X in games so no reason to send it back.

Price/performance, often yes. Pure performance outside of games, yes and no, depends on workload. Ryzen is faster in a lot of places, some Intel still holds a lead. In games, Intel chips are still faster due to lower core to core latencies with ringbus, especially if you tune the CPUs right. Apparently X299 (which are mesh, not ringbus) chips can perform favorably when tuned right but I don't have one of those and their price/perf is defo way off of most Ryzens and mainstream Intel (still cheaper than TR though so if you did need HEDT specifically for gaming, they're still the best there lol).
