So I broke my headset somehow just wearing it, and I've been trying to glue and tape it back together. I hold one end, and the wire just dragged it all out...

I can fix this, right? o.o' It's my only headset D:

Should... Probably have attempted to RMA first..

Yea if you feel comfortable taking the headset apart and rewiring the headset. Not that hard, also use some two part epoxy, jb weld or possibly loctite to hold it together where it broke.

I lost the warranty for it... I've also had this for what seems like a year so I don't know if it expired already.

I have no clue how to crack this blasted thing open.

I mean, you can

can, could etc.

In the same way you can be an Astronaut and shag models all day.

I wouldn't bother though, they'd be so jerryrigged I'd cringe to look at them let alone put them on.

I used duct tape, electrical tape, and super glue to frankenstein it back together. Not like I look at it while it's on my head..? :D

Some kind of epoxy will hold better. But look for the seam where the two plastic pieces of the headtset join and start prying. Make sure there isn't any screws anywhere first.

Yeah, but even after doing that, I don't even know where each wire goes...

It's not hard. There is a positive and a negative terminal on the speaker, that's where the wire goes. It will work either way even if you get them backwards, just at louder volumes it might break up (never had it happen to me, but it's possible)

I had a spare set of speakers I used to setup 5 channel surround on my computer. It wasn't long enough to put where I wanted so I cracked the case open, ran new wires, screwed the speaker to the wall. I also have 2 8" subs I built the box for and manually ran the wires to my computer. This stuff is pretty easy, I've been wiring vehicles and home audio for 6+ years now.

It's on the microphone side, not the speaker side.

I wouldn't use super glue for a job like that. It is way too brittle when it cures. I would use a two-part epoxy.
