Hello,

As my first PC Build I wanna build a Home Media Server that runs 24/7 and that could possibly also be used as a Gaming PC.

At this Moment this is my configuration:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Stealth

GPU: Inno3D GeForce RTX 2060

Mainboard: MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX AMD B450 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX

RAM: G.Skill Aegis DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3000, CL16-18-18-38 (F4-3000C16D-16GISB)

SSD Storage: Intenso High Performance SSD 240GB, M.2

HDD Storage: 2x 1TB HDD

Case: Cooltek CTC Zwei Basic (Thats the German name, I don't know how its named in English)

Power Supply: 500 Watt be quiet! Pure Power 11 Non-Modular 80+ Gold

Did I forget something and does everything works fine or do you have some suggestions?

Thanks in Advance!

Fabius

I'd suggest upgrading the memory to a 3200MHz kit, or 3600 if it's not much more expensive.

The new 5600XT looks like a great GPU option, considering its performance for the price. It's neck in neck with the RTX 2060 and cheaper on average, so if you don't necessarily need Nvidia, you should take a look at that too. I'd get the Sapphire Pulse model.

The PSU you've chosen is not bad or anything, but since you will be running the system 24/7, I think it would be worth spending a little more on it, just for more reliability. I would suggest a Corsair RM550x or be quiet Straight Power 550W.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

In Germany the RTX 2060 and the 5600XT are priced same, so I've chosen the RTX 2060 because it has Raytracing.

Thats a good Idea, I think I'll go with the 550W Straight Power!

I've just noticed that the CPU cooler was missing, do you think the AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler is enough for this build?

If they're the same price then it's a good deal, though I wouldn't call RT the biggest advantage the 2060 has really, as it's not particularly great at handling it unfortunately. But you do get Shadowplay, NVENC (if it's useful to you) and (possibly?) more stable drivers.

As long as you don't do any overclocking on the CPU, the stock cooler will work fine.
