I know this topic has been discussed before, but I was hoping for some clarification on some things. First, I have a ctl 470 with its stock pen at home. If I buy a 480, will the pen I have that came with the 470 work for it? Alternatively, I can buy a pen specifically made for the 480, in which case, it should work straight away right?

The 470 is a Bamboo tablet, the 480 is an Intuos tablet.

I don't really expect them to be cross-compatible, as for example Intuos Pro pens don't work on regular Intuos devices either.

if it worked, it would work straight away with no additional setup/installing/pairing/etc. involved.
