MX-330G compatible fan controllers

I own my Cougar MX-330G case for almost a year now and I couldn't avoid noticing the existence of two slots for fan controllers on the side of the front panel. I wonder if there is a way to populate these slots, what would be very helpful since there are still 3 fans in my pc that use a programmed fan curve. While searching about it I couldn't fin anything, not even in the manual or in forums.

Personally I'd rather my fans be controlled via a fan curve based on PC temps rather than a button on the outside of my case. 

 

Most likely it was a type of slide switch which just controlled the voltage.

(This switch alone will not control the voltage, it was most likely wired to a small PCB board that had resisters on it)
