Free Video Editing Software?

Hey guys, so I'm just trying to edit down a video to shorten a clip, and maybe do some slow motion. Is there a decent free program I can use?

I use HitFilm Express. You have to create an account I think but the software is free. The interface is reminiscent of Adobe Premier

DaVinchi Resolve is amazing and rather easy to use

1. If you are running windows, then Windows Movie Maker offered by Microsoft can be the best bet. It enables you to cut, trim, rotate, add transitions/music/voice overlay/subtitles, as well change playback speed. 2. If you need a video editor that works well on Mac, don't hesitate to use iMovie. It is totally free, and comes with very completet and powerful editing toolkit.

They are relatively simple to use (compare to Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinchi Resolve and other commercial editors), but still comes with many useful and advanced functions.

 

 

Windows Movie Maker is literally no longer offered by Microsoft and State on their Website that any sites distributing it are likely to contain Malware/Virus. Plus I would never install it to begin with, nevermind jump through hoops to do that. But thanks for the advice.

Windows Live Movie Maker install file,..

I've kept it for ages, the offline installer is about 115MB, and using the above video, unlocked 4K 60fps exporting (for enhanced cleaner YouTube bitrates at higher resolutions)

 

If you can find the clean install file as its not hosted officially anymore, and I don't use website specific 'downloader setups' for known software With their own installers...

 

The above video, or the other one he made on the topic has the 115Mb installer..
