Well as you can see from my picture (if the upload has worked properlly) I had an old systeam that i had cut a lot f holes in. Holes for fan speed switches and radiator pipes to come through and it wasnt pretty. A case only the owner could love. I had an old Q6600 and wanted to join a more current generation of tech. So key factors in the build choices. 1. MONEY. Not spending $2000AUD. 2. Few wanted parts/abilities. 3770k, 660ti, DDR3, SSD and USB3. 3. Overall looks. I LOVE the white, black and blue look which is why i have the mouse and headphones i have.

 

So a big thank you to Linus and crew for the reveiws and tech help!! I had never built my own PC before or done any overclocking.. So armed with only the internet and a few good friends i gave it a shot. I wanted something that i could game on (RA2 and AOE2 clearly ;)) and also do a bit of video and photo work on.

1TB WD (Blue i think..) HDD

Some kind of DVD drive.. (dont judge me! it was free..)

NZXT Phantom White case

 

So I am very happy with its capabilities and it just looks amazing in the flesh. I honestly catch myself just looking at it and having a lil froth sometimes haha.

But i know the cables could be more clean but it is still a billion times better than the pile o cables i had in my old case. Not all parts match exactlly but when you can get the 660 on sale, YOU GET IT! I dont mind if it has gold on it if it saves me $40. Plus it has blue LEDs and i think the gold kind of works with the yellow stripes and cables to make things more interesting to look at. So maybe oneday something will be done about the cabling but for now im too stoked about the other 98% of it to care and we NEVER talk about the cables behind the back panel. If you cant see them they dont exist haha.

so i will just give a breif idea of what im trying to show in each picture.

Front fans speed and display controller behind the mesh bay covers so it can be reached very quickly but isnt visible from outside the case.

Mounting the radiator to the roof with a braket so it hangs belong the roof fans. Its awesome i can keep both. It just is. NZXT WIN.

Haha yeah, bit of a theme. Don't see why more don't do that. Why build something beautiful to then put something ugly in your hand or on your head?

Not yet. The only one I have seen with white/blue looked like it was a very cheep make. If anyone knows of one that will match let me know.

If you guys have ideas on ways to improve let me know. Iwas thinking about neon wire outlining but I can't find Molex connections anywhere. Anyone know where to get them?

Closest high quality keyboard I can think of is the Corsair K90, although it's aluminium and blue not white and blue.
