Front audio jack doesnt work

I have this problem with the front audio jack and it wont work 

does anyone have an idea why

maybe you didn't plug the front panel audio connector in the header?

maybe the wrong sound card is selected as default..

nope i  checked that, its pluged in

What kind of sound card is it? For example, for older ASUS ones, the option to switch to the front panel is not automatic, the toggle is hidden deep in its control panel.

Sounds silly, but did you make sure it's plugged in on both ends.

idk how can i see what soun card do i have

I checked that

i saw the mthrbrd manual and it said thet it is plugged in the right place
