Not every cpu can be overclocked the same. Some can hit 4.5ghz on stock voltage, some can't even hit 4ghz with increased voltage. It's just a luck of the draw with what you get. Mine won't go much past 4.9ghz, but I got lucky and got a good overclocker.

Your temps are still really low up the voltage a little more and see what it takes for 4.6Ghz to be stable.

Most Semprons can't go past 3.5GHz, yet mine pushed on to almost 3.8. It's luck of the draw, most of the time.

Yup, that's just the way it goes. Same with graphics cards, monitors etc. Remember everything isn't designed to overclock so it's just random what you get, some just get better ones than others.

Some processors are just not capable of overclocking past a certain point, it's all about luck and less about voltage, etc. My 3820 can't go past 4.8GHz no matter how much voltage I push through it, believe me, I've tried. But still, 4.5GHz is a pretty decent clock speed.

What's wrong the the 1900? Aside from the price

You should check out Tiny Tom Logan's review over on OC3D youtube, I guess you're right if the price was only like $50 then it would be a good deal but I don't think anyone would ever pay more than that for that case.

Update, 1.5v 4.7 stable

Nice, I wouldn't personally go much higher than 1.55 - 1.6v as that is getting pretty high. Some people run them that high but they have turbo enabled so their volts aren't always that high.

Yeah, this is my maximum comfort level, temps are all over the 80s, I'm interested to see if I can push it a little further though (not that I'd run it like this every day)

That is one of the perks of living somewhere that it gets cold as fuck during winter. I sat my tower out my front door a couple weeks ago when it got to like -40f here and my temps with my 3570k pushing 1.4v was like 7c with a 212 evo and a single stock fan. I was voltage limited by my motherboard (z77a g45) which sucks but one of these days I'm going to have a msi mpower and push my chip to like 5.5Ghz if it doesn't hit a brick wall lol

1.52 @4.8 didn't boot - I'm out, I'm sure I'd be able to push it to 5.0 if I was ballsy enough. 

Well, one look at the AMD chips suggests to me that 5.5 is going to become standard sooner than we may think.

Yea you remember when that second polar vortex came through and it got back down to like -50f with wind chill. That is when I put my desktop out front to overclock lol. I seriously got frostnip on my hands carrying my case back in because the metal was so cold.

Where I am it only hit about -38C, but the winds were freaking crazy.
