Is 2200g enough for streaming??

well I am a teenager from India looking forward to start his Twitch channel , most of the the budget streaming pc builds i watched used a ryzen 5 2600.

But the price of 2600(in India) is as high as it was during launch turning a $650 build to $750 build, but i watched this vid.

which used a 2200g and streamed at 720p

well if its possible to stream with a 4 core processor .

Then can i stream nfs heat with it

do you have a gpu?

if you don't have a gpu, try to get a r5 2400g.

if you have a gpu, try to get a r5 1400 or r5 1600

Seems like you answered your own question? Unless ofc NFS Heat is a core hungry game like some other newer titles, but you should be able to compare it to the games the guy tested in the vid easily.

i am going for a 2nd gen ryzen as they utilize high frequency ram more effectively than 1st gen ryzens and i'll be using 3200mhz ram

2200g with 3200 ram is still much slower than 1600 or 1400 with 3000 ram.

Um..... I think you are mixing it up.

Ryzen 1st gen has a harder time clocking higher on Ram than second gen. This is due to IF being on a worse node, same with the IMC. Tweaks where done to second gen, but no overhaul.

The APUs sit between 1st and 2nd gen in terms of this capability.

Since second gen and 1st gene is essentially the same architecture, there isnt any difference in how they are affected by ram (at least on paper and testing ive seen).

i mean general performance. the 1600 is 6c/12t and the 1400 is 4c/8t. the 2200 is 4c/4t. regardless of what ram you pair it with, the 1600 will give much better overall performance.

You can easily use your 1660 for streaming, get something like  1600x or 2600x for your cpu and some good ram

both 1400 and 1600 are better cpus with better streaming and gaming capabilities than the 2200g. however, they lack the integrated graphics, so you need to buy a separate graphics cards.

if you have the budget, go for ryzen 5 1600 + rx 570/580

if you don't, go for ryzen 5 2400g (it has integrated graphics and it's better overall than 2200g)

Also, if you have the budget for the 1600, try to find the AF model. It's built on the Zen+ 12nm process and reviews have benchmarked it performing better than the AE model. It's part number (or something like that) is YD1600BBAFBOX and should come with a wraith stealth. If you can only find the AE model, that's a fine processor as well.
