Yes that's because the card was launched in 2010 and only supports up to DirectX 11.

But multiple sources on the interwebs say it supports directX 12. Maybe try some games?

The only game with DirectX 12 support I tried was Hitman 2016, and the DirectX 12 box is white and untickable ?

There are articles from 2017 saying nVidia brings DirectX 12 to Fermi ?

probably used a featureset not avavible on fermi.

this is why old GCN is neat for budget builders. you can run dx12 titles afaik as it runs on the same basis as vega.

you will never see dx 12 in windows 7, LOL.

DX12 IS JUST FOR WIN 10

and  " In a surprising turn of events, it appears that Nvidia has quietly switched on DirectX 12 support for GTX 500 and GTX 400-series graphics cards as part of the latest GeForce drivers. Last week, Nvidia started rolling out driver version 384.76 to users and while the headlining feature at the time was optimisation for the Lawbreakers beta, DX12 support for Fermi-based GPUs has also been discovered."

That's what I remembered 20 seconds ago and entered to reply to the thread, LOL!

Still strange how GPU-Z says that it is DirectX 11.

I will install Windows 10 and try some DirecctX 12 games there

support and optimisation are two different things stay in dx 11 , dx 12 in fermi is a waste of time.
