Is this an actual invention that you will be taking to market, or just an idea and concept for an invention?

this is something he is doing for his senior project....it won't be taken to the market as far as I know.

In that case, I'd like to see a storage solution (wardrobe type thing) that works like one of those high tech car parks that you see in Japan. 

 

You know, these things

 

So you put what you're storing on a shelf/in a basket and input into the system what it is and it will take it away. Then, when you want to get it, you just click on the item and it will bring it to you. So you could store your clothes by shirts, trousers, socks etc. and would just have to press a button to get it.

 

I would love one of these. Have a section dedicated to spare PC parts.

A pen that runs on electricity or some crap like that, basically a pen that will never run out of ink some how. About better batteries.

I'm sure if you had some special paper, you could make a pen that zaps the colour out of the paper, effectively writing by removing the colour.

How old is he? Is he some high schooler with no basic knowledge of engineering and couple of crayon boxes, or is he a university engineering student of some sort with knowledge and access to resources that enable him to create something of value?

High School senior with a pretty good technical background
