250GB ssd and a gtx 780 ti instead of dual 760's. I regret buying a 120gig ssd, so maybe even a 180gig if budget is a real problem.

Spoiler

Corsair 400C- Intel i7 6700- Gigabyte Gaming 6- GTX 1080 Founders Ed. - Intel 530 120GB + 2xWD 1TB + Adata 610 256GB- 16GB 2400MHz G.Skill- Evga G2 650 PSU- Corsair H110- ASUS PB278Q- Dell u2412m- Logitech G710+ - Logitech g700 - Sennheiser PC350 SE/598se

Is it just me or is Grammar slowly becoming extinct on LTT?

a lot of gaming and I want to do many things at once

get a 780 instead and how many things? I run a surround set up and used my machine before my recent upgrade with 8GB of RAM with programs like Dreamweaver and Photoshop open and games I never exceeded 7GB most of the time unless I ran something like BF4 while these were open

1. Budget & Location

You may have listed a heap of parts that all add up to your preferred budget but it is easier if you just list the total amount you'd like to spend and the currency as well as if you'd consider going above that budget for more performance. We need the location as well because $US are different to $AUD and $CAD ect.

2. Aim

What is the system going to be used for? Web browsing, 3D work? Different systems need different levels of performance - a computer based for web browsing and office use won't handle heavy graphic design and video editing and a proper video editing system isn't good for gaming. If your aim is for gaming, please list what sort of gaming. In the same way that different usage types need different systems, you'll need a lot more power to run Far Cry 3 or Crysis 2 than you would Minecraft.

3. Monitors

How many monitors do you plan on running? Do you plan on moving to more monitors in the future? What resolution are they at too?

4. Peripherals

Do you also need to purchase peripherals such as keyboards and mice as well as monitors ect. Also please tell us if you'll need an OS such as Windows.

5. Why are you upgrading?

We ask this because you may see upgrading as the only path to solve an issue but things such as driver updates, reconfiguration or cleaning can boost performance without spending a cent.

Read the goddarn sticky!

Not bad, but go for a single 780. It may perform worse, but you can SLI in the future.

Look nice and pretty close to my current build :)

the gigabyte sniper m5 might be a better choice if you going to sli and you can have a space between the 2 graphics cards for better air flow/cooling. (unless you like red/black colour scheme )

The H100i when top mounted in the 350D is a bit tight and does not leave much space for connecting your 4 or 8 pin CPU power cable. so a sort cable extention would be a good idea to make fitting the H100i easier (i typed this them noticed your listed a fully modular PSU so don't worry about extention)

i recently moved my h100i from top mounted to front mount as all the hot air was pacing thought it and making my cpu run hotter than i like. having it front mounted lets use push/pull and keeps my cpu nice and cool. The down side to front mounting the h100i is losing the HDD cages. so i know have my hdd's fitted in the 5.25" bays.

Win 10 Pro 64bit| Intel i5-4670k| Corsair H100i| ASUS Maximus VI GENE| 2x8GB PC3-14900 Corsair Vengeance Pro Red| MSI GeForce GTX 1070 | SanDisk 240GB Extreme Pro SSD| WD 3TB Red | WD Black 3tb | Corsair Obsidian 350D| Corsair AX760 | Dust |

if money isn't an issue for 16gb vs 8gb then go for 16GB. In general use though 8GB is fine that i've found, but there have been times when i was doing random things every so often like running photoshop with a 16000x16000 image i was editing that it ran out (PS alone was about 10GB) when i was trying to do some other stuff.

So yeah, you can never have too much, 8GB is "fine" 16gb is a nice buffer for doing anything you want. If you need anything over than that, then you'll know about it.

i agree about the 250gb ssd, that's a decent size. I had a 60GB once and i couldn't do much with it :P

Single card. ~the same performance and less glitches, hassle, power consumption and points of failure. Although 2 cards always looks nice :P
