Which Total War (or similar) for Roman ass kicking?

So I'm watching Gladiator again and I'm getting a hankering for some good old Total War type grand strategy, battle gameplay with the Roman Empire (either playing as or against). Which Total War (or similar game) should I re-download (or buy). I have Attila which is by far my favorite Total War with about 250 hrs played as well as Total War: Rome 2 with only 91 hrs played. Obviously Attila is the newest and thus probably most perfected of the Roman era Total War games but Rome 2 might be good to revisit despite dated graphics and features. Or are there any other similar games I should take a look at? I do have Ryse: Son of Rome which I actually quite enjoyed the first time through but I'm doubting it's replayability. Thanks!
