Just make sure your gpu gets enough airflow where you throw it at ^^

In relation to mining it doesn't mean anything if it's a 4x or 16x riser. But for normal use, I guess, going with a minimum of a powered 8x riser is required.

A riser shouldn't affect performance at all, as long as the card has space to breath
