Hard Drives

I am bringing over two hard drives from my old pc to my new one. The only thing I am keeping is my 1060. I am planning on putting windows on a 500gb evo+. I have the windows boot ready as well. Should I install my hard drives before booting for the first time? Or do I have to wait?
