Posted January 2, 2020 I just purchased Corsair's K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard, and I wondered if it was a good purchase of a budget keyboard. If you recommend any other budget keyboards (Under 50 Dollars), please tell me!

Certainly better than the $25 "Gaming" keyboards some people go for off of Amazon. I got a K55 for my younger brother when he decided to start gaming on PC, he loves it. Yeah I use mostly all corsair peripherals myself, only ones I couldn't really get behind were their headsets(Had the Corsair Void Pro RGB headset and had issues with it, got a new one had same issues, now I use a HyperX Cloud II Pro headset). My mouse, keyboard, liquid cooler, mousepad, and headset stand are all Corsair and I've never had a problem with any of them. Posted January 2, 2020 I like my K55 but not the software. (iCUE) I edit my posts more often than not
Posted January 2, 2020 It's a Corsair keyboard, so pretty much what you'd expect: terrible laser etched keycaps, terrible stabilisers, not mechanical, uses absolutely terrible software, and way overpriced. You can get mechanical keyboards with somewhat decent double shot ABS keycaps for less. :)
 Otherwise you get keyboards like the Corsair K95 Platinum, which should cost like $50, but costs $200. :)
 Posted January 3, 2020 I mean it's a pretty good keyboard for the price, you can get better and you can definitely find keyboards at this price with mechanical switches. But just because you can find something that is better doesnt meanthat the keyboad youbought is bad. For being a rubber dome keyboard i think it's pretty good, but at the end of the day it's not this forum that will decide what you will like so just enjoy it. Yeah, I just got it yesterday, and so far, I love it. I ask, how do you configure the "G" keys on the left hand side? I was having trouble with them yesterday. Posted January 3, 2020 Probably through their ICUE software downloadable from their website. I don't think they use another software for their k55 keyboards.
