You need to replace your DVD on your PC.. clearly not working.. also why are you using CDs? You can get the game on Steam.

I can't really help you because I have no idea why it would work on laptop but not on desktop tbh,  but I wish you luck someone knows a solution. 

 

But indeed, at least trying another DVD Player *could* be a solution.

Copy the dvd into your laptop and transfer it to your desktop using pendrive or shared network? ?‍♂️
