Help low fps

So I just got my rtx 2060 super and a i7 4790 but when I play games such as rainbow I get 80 percent cpu and 50 percent gpu why is this happening I reinstalled drivers I’m not sure why I’d it could be my psu which is 550 watt or what please help I also have a 144 hz monitor and only getti nt 140-150 what is it?

What driver did you download and install (GPU)?

A z87/z97 era 4790? Haswell?  I’ve got a 4770k which OCs to 4.0ghz so it would be about the same performance.  I find I can bury a non overlclocked 580 but only just.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

The latest one I uninstalled my old 1060 3gb driver through DDU then installed the 2060 super latest driver 441.66

there are two!

Geforce game ready driver and Nvidia creator driver...

witch one did you install?

Also when you go to the download Nvidia site page the default is for Laptops have a better look

When you just right click anywhere on the desktop there is no option for control panel

Yeah I did install GeForce experience and other stuff but I didn’t get a control panel

Restart everything from scratch.

Download this driver : https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/155644

Then disable Internet.

DDU everything plus the GeForce Experience.

Install it all

Then unable Internet.

I did it but it said on the bottom right corner control panel not installed install through Microsoft and when I tried to do that it wouldn’t install

Nvidia recently forced DCH driver only download so you need to install NVCP thru Window Store separately.

What about other games? Can you run 3DMark Firestrike to check if the card actually working as normal.
