Can I use any lens for any camera

ff0000

Technically yes, you can get adapter but lenses designed for a different camera may not give you the results you're looking for.

I wouldn't recommend buying anything quite that cheap. It's probably not going to do what you want it to, you won't be able to return it, and then it ends up being a waste of your time and money.

You're better off going on eBay and getting something that comes with a lens.

If you're on that much of a budget, consider a good webcam.

@Founders Just want to record yt vids. Better then a camcoder

What phone do you have? If you're just doing YT for fun most phones will do the trick. Even some big You Tubers use phones and Go Pros.

@dizmo Whats wrong with the samsung camera

It doesn't come with a lens, and Samsung NX lenses are not common.

Just use your phone, or a webcam and buy a proper mic.

Or save. There's no point in putting out low quality content, it's not going to help you.

That link is just an adapter. There is no lens.

This is the best way to go honestly. If your channel gains some traction then you can consider some better gear.

All you need for now is:

  • either your phone or a good webcam and a tripod of some kind
  • a mic that suits your specific needs i.g. lav you can wear, shotgun you can aim, desk mic like a snowball.
  • a light or two
  • a clean room (if your recording inside no one wants to watch a video of someone in a dimly lit dank cave unless you're Coyote Peterson.

That lens will give you worse videos then anything else. the camera body is fine but the system/mount is dead.

I would not be investing any money, no matter how cheap into a dead camera system with no OEM support, or a viable upgrade path. It's a complete waste of money.

What's your actual budget? We can probably recommend a better camera for the price rather than a dead camera system.

@ThePointblank Would you recommend the Fujifilm HS20EXR. Also I am going to currys and testing out the H300 and the lumix dc-FZ80

No, it's very dated. The Panasonic is the best option here, as it's the most recent, and it can shoot in 4k.

@ThePointblank Panasonic prices are too inflated. H300 it is. Tested it in currys. Pretty good but only 720p recording

The Panasonic is a much newer camera. The Sony is at least 6 years old, and the Fuji you mentioned is pushing 10 years old. Such old cameras aren't worth the money you spend.
