low GPU usage

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

What PSU are you using?

What frequency does your CPU run at while gaming? If it's locked at something around 800MHz, check the BIOS for any power saving settings and disable them. Also try disabling virtualisation/VT-d, also in the BIOS (unless you use VMs frequently).

im playing GTA V on my PC (running windows 10 pro 64 bit with directX 12) with most stettings basicaly maxed on 1920 x 1080 resolution but im only managing to get an unstable 50 FPS on an RTX 2080 super and in I9 9900KF then i opened up my monitering software (NZXT's CAM) and im getting 40% CPU usage and 2% GPU usage with a quater of my 32GB of ram taken up it isn't throttling as the parts are getting to 50 celcius max i know GTA V is high CPU intensive as it is made for console but is this normal and how can i improve my FPS find my full specs bellow

CPU: I9 9900KF

GPU: RTX 2080 super

RAM: DDR4 2666MHz 32GB

SSD (what the game is installed on): samsung evo 860 1TB

Motherboard: TUF-Z390 PRO GAMING

note: all BIOS and drivers are up to date and nothing has been overclocked

If i had the budget to get the 9900KF and the 2080S

I would definitely spend a few more $$ to get a higher end Mobo, it's a decent Mobo but you have the top of the line hardware on it....
