It kinda depends as you can pick up cheap Refurbished harddrive from somewhere like ebay! The only problem there is you don't get a warrenty. If you need a drive fast, eBay. if you can wait, save and get one from Amazon, eBuyer or maybe Scan. The later having bundle deals all of the time.

To check for reviews or check for nice priced drives?
For storage drive reviews I typically use Anandtech and StorageReview.com

For products.. Well that depends on where you are from. But PCPartPicker is generally a good place to start checking.

If you want to know what your drive is filled with, you can either use the built in setting in Windows (Settings > System > Storage > View storage and usage on other drive > choose whatever drive you want to see) or WinDirStat for more detailed info.

I'm new to PC gaming and I just got a new PC for Christmas, and somehow I've already filled up the 2 terabyte hard drive, I'm in the middle of looking for a high space hard drive right now and I was wondering if anyone new any good websites to check.

Amazon and Newegg are fantastic websites to check for hard drives.

Also, maybe slow down on downloading everything under the sun for a bit :)
