Hello,

I didnt manage to find a more suitable category so I am using General.

I have a PC that was left to sleep mode and when I woke up something has happened (I assume it is windows update) and It wasnt starting. I had the blue screen of death.

No worries, I tried to fix it, enter safe mode and so on but it just didnt start, so as a final option I pressed the reset button and deleted my files and apps (not a complete reset which is for when dumping a drive)

After I did that it re installed windows and tried to boot up again - no success. Now it boots, shows the motherboard logo (MSI Gaming Carbon) and restarts. I have access only to the BIOS

I dont have access to a flash drive at the moment and provided it is Christmas Eve I wont have for a few days.

Is there anything I can do to be able to get out of the boot loop?

First step is to reset CMOS. Then try installing windows again. Make sure to delete the partitions with the existing installation/EFI/MBR or preferably the entire drive if you don't have stuff you need on there.

If you don't have access to a USB for a while then you're stuck if that fails really. I always have my PCs set to always on, as I have seen more problems occur when PCs enter sleep/hibernate etc than otherwise and just don't trust it for those reasons. I just turn my PC off manually if I'm not gonna use it for a while, and very rarely I might hibernate it if I want to quickly return to something I was doing.
