Guess you could do it, I used to do it with my old CPU to save some GPU power, especially when just looking at my desktop, although performance probably isn't really an issue with a 1080...

So i have 2 monitors. Currently both on my gpu. GTX 1080. Is it worth to use the 2nd monitor on the built in gpu? Whats the ups and downs?

cpu: 9700k

gpu: gtx 1080

Main display is 144hz

2nd display old vga display

i5-13600kf, 16gb Corsair 3600mhz, Asrock z690 ac itx,  RTX 3080 , 1TB+1TB PREDATOR + Western digital NVME, InWin A1, Thermalright peerless assasin 120SE

Doesn't matter, I have a setup each way. You wont notice anything either way.

Main RIg Lian Li O11 MINI, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz 

 

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz
