Hello everyone, or for that matter anyone, I am new to this forum when it comes to engaging. I have always followed the topics and LTT videos however I have ran into a problem of my own that I may need help on.

So I have a LG Gram 15Z980-U.AA55U1, and I have a reoccurring screen issue. I call the issue "bright pixels" because when ever I have any sort of white screen or white background on my laptop, certain areas of the screen are noticeably "whiter" or brighter in a way. It occurs in light shades of colors too so it is not just white. The problem also persists when I turn the brightness up and down.

Now I have sent it in, for replacement while it was under warranty, during the summer of 2019 and thankfully the LG support team have given me another free repair appointment as the issue had occur in the same year that they replaced the other panel

I will attach a .jpg of the issue, if anyone has ANY idea or advice on how to prevent this, that will help.  I am thinking it may be an issue that is caused by the way I carry my laptop or the pressure that is placed on it when I put it in my backpack.

I have this same issue. I'm glad that I'm seeing other people having this issue, because that means I'm closer to a solution. Have you done anything about your screen or have you left it the same still? I haven't explored enough to find anyone else having this problem yet. So even though I hate to do it, I have bought mine at Best Buy and I got a warranty, so I may end up taking it to Geek Squad and just getting the screen replaced. Here's some pictures of what mine look like

i´ve seen that issue before, normally it is because zones, tv has had them when running  hot in areas with electronic on the back side of the screen..

so the "high" output of power on a white pixel, might create this, because you get hot spots on the screen, that is my guess. but it is only a guess.

I have the same model 15Z980-U.AAS5U1 and have the exact same issue! Also, I have a few dead pixels. LG won't repair it as it's now out of warranty being from 2018. Does anyone know if I am able to replace the screen myself with something that isn't as glary? (My model isn't touchscreen)
