Is it worth trying to sell a 1070 Ti?

I got a 2080 Ti today because I’ve always wanted to have a top end card (now I have and don’t have to ever do it again ) but my old 1070 Ti had to be taken out and I’m wondering if a 1070 Ti is worth selling or just scrap? It was a good card and I would feel bad throwing it away but I don’t know if people would be interested in buying older cards when there are things like the 2070 Super?

 

Any advice with what to do with an old card that runs well but isn’t a recent model?

You can probably sell it for ~200-250$, which is a decent amount.

yeah, it'll be worth around $250, not that close to the original price, but it isn't nothing.

 

I'd personally give it to a friend for a significant discount to try to get them into pc gaming.

yes deffo dude itll still be worth something in 6 months i was planning on upgrading to a 1070ti or such in about 6 months.

I wasn’t sure if maybe it wasn’t worth it due to so many new cards like the 2060 Super and 2070.

Even $250 would help me recoup some of the cost of this

If you decide to throw it away let me know were you live I’ll come to go through your bin but yeah tbh you still can get decent amount of cash for it, ppl still want to use 2nd hand gpu and someone will definitely buy it

Lol well by “scrap” I usually mean something that’s worth under $100. Not something I would throw in the bin.
