Should I Pull The Trigger?

Planning to get a Lian Li O11D XL, but want it to look a little pretty and have plenty of cooling. Should I do it?

Aren't the O11s designed mostly for watercooling? 

As for the fans, yes, do get NF-A14s, they're excellent fans. But no, don't get 120mm RGB frames for your 140mm fans, that won't work out too well.

Already fixed that issue, had 120mm and 140mm in my cart for comparison lol. Going with the Lian Li because I like the way it looks over the P600S and can see myself going full custom loop within the coming years. At the moment I'm on AiOs (EVGA CLC 360, EVGA 2080 Super XC Hybrid).

Are you able to wait for NF-A12x25 Chromax fans? They have a much better noise/rpm/airflow profile than the F12s, @TVwazhere had a comparison chart somewhere. . F12s aren't like crazy loud (till you get up there in the rpms), but they do make a noticeable amount of noise. NF-F12s are static pressure fans, not something you really need for AIO rads given that they're generally a low fpi. If you're just going to run them at a lower rpm, they'll make a low whoosh/drone, at least my iPPC 2000s do (IIRC the normal ones top out at 1500rpm but it's the same fan design).

I could wait and deal with the stock fans depending on the timeline for the Chromax variant to be readily available. I'm not necessarily in a rush, but it would be nice completing this build before the end of January; I have a car that needs some love and money thrown at it.

I think Noctua said they should be out in a month or two, I forget the specifics. They do have the NF-A12x15 out, so the normal 25mm version shouldn't be much behind. Here's one of the charts I was referring to:

NF-A12x25 has a better airflow/static pressure profile (black line). The F12s only have a higher static pressure way up at the top end (which is useful for me, I run them at max right now, trying to push air through a pair of GTX 780s in a small mATX case). And at the top end they are quite loud.

That's some great info. I'll definitely be waiting in that case, my wallet sends its gratitude; Black Friday wasn't easy for it xD I hate how loud the fans are currently, even at the lowest setting they still hum pretty loud. I might custom loop sooner, I just haven't looked into how beneficial it is over AiOs.

Yeah, back when I had a CLC 280 that was an issue. The AIOs are really good, the fans... are not. 

As for performance increases, depends on how you build the loop, lol. Properly done and it should be a good perf boost, custom loops usually use better quality rads and blocks, and have the option for way more rad space.
