Posted February 9, 2014 I need to upgrade for 5 year old box which is literally on its last legs, Unfortunately my budget is 500 British Pounds max, I have picked the following parts. I would like a good all round machine with decent 1080p gaming, I play a bit of COD, indie games and stuff like tomb raider. P.S optical drive left out intentionally as I have no use for one. Whats your thoughts on this? Would this give a decent gaming setup for £500?
Posted February 9, 2014 you can get a 760k if you dont need the gpu part in the APU, that will cut costs Intel 3570k 3,4@4,5 1,12v Scythe Mugen 3 gigabyte 770 MSi z77a GD55 corsair vengeance 8 gb corsair CX600M Bitfenix Outlaw 4 casefans
 Posted February 9, 2014 No point getting an APU AND a dedicated GPU. Opt for a 750K/760K or a FX 6300 based system instead. Other than that, it's very solid. Edit: 7 P over the budget, but now also with a CPU cooler: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2Q4DJ @tezza192 who cares...
 Posted February 9, 2014 SCHNIPP!!! The FX 6350 is just an overclocked 6300, you can save 20 quid there. The build that ^SSOB put together is actually pretty bauss, since it uses a FX 8320. However I'd try to save some money and go with a Hyper 212 EVO and a R9 270 (since it performs very similarly to a 270X) And put that monbey into a different PSU (CX 500M) and a little bit nicer case (Corsair 200R), the NZXT however is acrtually a solid choice! who cares...
