Looks good. I would get a better PSU. Maybe something like a SeaSonic G Series 650W. Really good and silent thing, and it's 80+ gold ;) Owned one before my ax860

It depends on how much rendering you actually do but the i7 is likely not needed since it is only moderately better than the i5 at best.

The h100i is likely not necessary and a 212 Evo would be plenty.

You could probably get a cheaper motherboard like the Fatal1ty z87 Killer or G43/G45 Gaming unless the small difference in features from the GD65 are needed.

Vengenace Pros are not overkill but then again, there are likely cheaper ram kits. Ram is ram and brand doesn't matter. That being said, Vengeance Pros are generally a bit expensive while there are cheaper red ram kits available.

840 Pros are only worth the extra money for the warranty but if that's not your interest, the normal 840, along with a good number of other modern ssd's perform noticeably the same in everyday usage and are much, much cheaper like the ssdnow v300 or crucial m500.

I don't think such a large case is necessary at all... Looks are subjective but such an underwhelming build in a large case is a bit lacking imo. It's also less practical than a smaller build that would take up less space.

If you intend to sli, a better rated psu is recommended but not necessary. Just my two cents. If you're not, it's overkill.

...Is the bluray drive really necessary?

I chose the large case cause i am definitely going to upgrade to water cooling later, thats why i have the big case.

And i have decided to scrap the blue ray and go for a normal drive, and i swapped to the normal 840 evo :D

Thanks for all the suggestions.

But is the optical drive really necessary then? If not and all you need is to install Windows, I suggest buying a usb flash drive instead that you can reuse after using it to install the OS.

What kind wc are you planning to do? Also, there's no point getting a  h100i if you're going to do a custom loop anyway.

I am not planing to fully water cool it in the nearest future (Maybe in like 2-3 years) And i want to have the optical drive because i have allot of games on a cd (Because we have slow internet, but we are getting fiber soon so i just need a cheap optical drive till then)
