Hello everyone,

I know that Startech TB31PCIEX16 doesn't officially support GPU. However, is this because of the lack of 6pin connector or some other issues?

I know that there are some models that doesn't officially support GPU because of the lack of 6pin. And those ones are capable of running GPU that doesn't require 6 pin; like GTX1650 and Quadro P2000 (same GPU as 1060).

*I don't know which category is appropriate so I am leaving this in GPU thread but please feel free to correct me and sorry!

The primary reason why it doesn't support graphics cards is the power brick can only output 65W. Even if you could hook up another power supply for the auxiliary PCIe power, the card may want the full 75W power PCIe can support, which the power brick will not.

You could swap the one it comes with for another 12V power brick that supports higher wattage, but you still have to find something external for the auxiliary PCIe power.
