nvidia graphics driver stuck on checking system compatibility

the installer is stuck on checking system compatibility like forever, im trying to install drivers for my 1050ti on laptop, i uninstalled drivers through ddu because my graphics card was crashing and now i cant get the drivers to install, help please ASAPP

mine does this when i forget to press yes or accept to the windows notification asking if it's okay for the app to perform changes to important data.

It doesn't always pop up automatically but just shows in your task bar as another application.

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Have you tried restarting the system? Also try this driver: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/154343/en-us

Came across this post when dealing with the same issue with a 2080 Super when upgrading to any recent update. After the window pops up that gets stuck on checking compatibility requirements I was able to get it to go past by opening another instance of the installer from the extracted folder. As flashiling said, this usually happens when an admin prompt is missed. It seems to just not be opening the prompt after running the installer when it completes the extraction. So while the initial installer is still running and "stuck" just run another installer and you will get an admin prompt and a second installer will run and actually work.
