3200mhz Ram lower fps than 2100mhz?

Yes dual channel, no idea what docp/xmp is ill google it right now.

Hello i recently purchased 32 gb of ram 3200mhz upgrading from my 16GB 2133mhz. Purchased it for the fps increase in games but it turned out to drop frames and the 2133 ram was faster. Is there something im missing? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

XMP/DOCP is how you set the speed in the BIOS. If you didn't do that, you won't actually be running at 3200.

 

Also, for the price you likely spent on 32 GB of 3200 (120-150 bucks?), you won't see 150 bucks worth of FPS gains.... But if you have a Ryzen chip, it will help some. Intel, meh, a few % at best.

Just turned on xmp and running at 3200mhz, thank you for your help. Yeah im kind of dissapointed i saw a video where someone got 50fps boost gain, but im not seeing that. Oh well ;/.

50 FPS, yea thats incredibly not right. lol. Its a few % at best. :/
