Coax to ethernet

So I'm getting a D-Link AC3200 router and I noticed it doesn't use a coaxial cable, is there a way I can convert a coaxial to Ethernet to use on this router?

Whos your internet provider?

 

Besides the gateways that are in use by Cable Providers and Verizon's Moca router, standard routers dont use Coax for WAN.

Yeah you have a Gateway (Modem/Router). You you either have to buy a gateway or buy a modem along side your router. Im not sure what Cox's customer owned equipment polices are. They might have a list of Modems that will work. My ISP Comcast has an extensive list. 

 

Your going to want at least a 16x4 or 24x8 Docsis 3.0 modem.
