Wait for new cards to come out?

LittoBud

I'm looking at buying a new 2070 super because it is in my price range, but I'm wondering if I should wait until the new nvidia cards come out and hopefully the RTX 2080 will drop in price, so I can get that instead.

Nvidia's next gen cards should come next year Q1 or Q2, so it's really up to you to hold it off for now or not.

The 2070 Super performs within close margin of the 2080, so if you do decide to upgrade now just get the 2070S.

Wait mang. NVIDIA says RTX 3000 is going to be cheap so wait.

That's just a rumor and given it's Nvidia we're talking about who knows what the pricing and tier structure will actually look like. Look at how over saturated we are in different cards right now.

we are in that period before christmas where retailers are making their most money. I'd wait at least for new year/boxing day sales.

Well as what happens with every nvidia release... they come out and GL ordering one for a good month or two because of a shortage or if you get lucky and order one right when a shipment comes in.

It really depends on what games you are planning to play and whatnot. If you don't NEED to upgrade now and nothing is truly wrong, I'd wait. But once again it depends on what you are planning to play.

Black friday sales can be insane and if you miss out, its only six weeks til 2020.

Rumor has them being delayed to at least Q3 now and that rumor would makes sense if the rumored that Nvidia is going to release a 2080ti Super in Q1 is true.  9 months is a long time to wait if your current video card isn't getting the job done now.
