Hi.

Have some questions regarding my system,

so right now i am running 8GB Ram and i am editing alot, both in Sony Vegas, After Effects and Cinema 4D, PSD. Also use alot of FL Studio to record some music,

Right now i have some budget b350 motherboard and a ryzen 1500x with 8gb ram. With a 1060 6GB (550 Power Supply)

But i am upgrading to b450-f / Ryzen 3700x or 3600 (Depending on budget) / 64 GB Ram / but will my power supply deliver without causing trouble?

What PSU? and is this a question about memory of PSU?

Besides 64GB sounds overkill if you're getting started, why not buy 2x16GB for a grand total of 32GB and experiment with this first?

I Have considerd going with 32GB, but its lagging way to much when i edit 4K Videos or high FPS videos, takes ages to do something very simple. My Last PC I Had was 32GB ddr4, and it was meh. It did good for the work i do. But since i dont want the PC to drag the efficiency down of my work. Decided might go for 64.

Sorry for not explaining properly (Working right now, so was kinda unfocsued :P) But the question was (If the PC Could run "normally" and not having to upgrade my PSU Too.)

Wattage is pretty meaningless on the great scheme of things, if you want to be sure we need to know what unit it is exactly.

Have you checked your RAM was actually fully used and becoming the performance bottleneck? Typically for editing what matters most is a CPU that's as fast as possible. If you edit with Adobe applications it's also worth having an Intel CPU as it makes significant use of the Quicksync module.

Dont use Premiere, but i was thinking going for 3700x since it has 8 cores and 16 threads. Which helps alot, and on top of that the 64gb. Would be banger but just worried my PSU Will be able to handel it. But i dont really know which one i have, will get back with the info on the weekend since i am not home rn :P

cpus tdp are 65/95watt average, and ramsticks run at such low watts id say like 5watt per stick AT MOST its probably closer to 2-3watt

550W is more than enough, so unless the PSU is unable to deliver what it's specced at no problem.

I'm a heavy fl studio user.

Regarding the 64gb of RAM, I had that in my old 3930k (6c 12t) and I was hitting cpu and ram bottlenecks at about the same time so it was a pretty good pairing.

I do a lot of sample work with orchestral stuff which eats up ram. If your workflow doesn't demand crazy ram usage, I'd go 32gb. The 1500x won't likely outperform my 3930k and it was pushed to the limit in 64gb projects. I'd go 32.
