Help with a new build

Hey guys, I am planning to build my first desktop PC and I would like some help.

I have made up this list but i'd like to cut the costs a little bit more to €1000.

 

This is the list if you guys have any suggestions or improvements..

My aim is to play mostly esport titles and a little of AAA Games.

I have 2 monitors at 1080p, the reason why I'm a little overkill? for esport titles is because I want to be able to use this computer for at least a year or 4 and still be able to play most AAA games at medium settings.

1080p 60Hz ? Or 144Hz ? This GPU is overkill for 1080p 60Hz but if you want to 'future proof' for as long as 4 years it's probably good. Either way, RX5700 would get you better value anyway, you can flash it with RX5700 XT's BIOS to unlock power limiter when it wouldn't be enough so it'll be almost on the RX5700 XT performance level (on the level of RTX2060S-2070).

 

You're in Germany\EU i assume ?

 

Edit: everything a bit cheaper (and GPU a tad cheaper) but PSU is a bit more expensive as it's the cheapest one i'd recommend for AMD Navi (they're rather power hungry).

One monitor is 144Hz (main display) the other one is 60Hz. One last question then, the PC part picker gives me this error; "Warning!Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

Should I be worried about that?

No, MSI's MAX boards come with Zen 2 compatible firmware, other motherboards can come with newer BIOS too but you can't be sure where as in this case it's a different SKU completely.

No idea really, i wouldn't wait personally. Usually the stuff that's on sale is not an optimal choice for it's price anyway.

You could get cheaper RAM, but it'd only save you a few euro. You could get a cheaper case, I just left that with the one you had listed.

Check the motherboards QVL list to make sure that the RAM is compatible; Ryzen in the past has been very picky with RAM.

If you're feeling adventurous you can flash the GPU with the XT bios, and unlock quite a bit of performance.

You can also likely skim some more off by skipping the NVME drive and just going with a SATA drive. Wasn't sure how set to 1,000 euro or under you are.

Do they have Black Friday in Germany? I know if I was in the US or Canada, I'd definitely wait, but I'm not sure how big it is over there.

See my parts list, it's pretty doable with cheaper GPU at least, Power Color Red Dragon are really marginally better than Sapphire Pulse, and it's way cheaper. It can be well lower than 1000 EUR with cheaper choices on other parts (SSD, case), but AMD Navi GPUs are pretty power hungry and i've selected better quality PSU, it's 20 EUR more. And why you're recommending that B450 board for Zen 2 CPU ? You can guarantee that it'll be shipped with compatible BIOS and this model doesn't have UEFI flashback which would help to update it without supported CPU.

True for Zen\Zen+, Zen 2 are rather okay with everything you plug in it, if it will not work with XMP profile then just set the same frequency and main timings manually, it works with 3600MHz RAM no problem.
