Howdy Need Y'all's help again

Terry_B

My brother wants to get a PC for a friend of his and wants some help, I was just wondering if there is anything that I'm missing in this or that would be better, I have all the components that are marked at 0.00 on the Pc Part Picker and he has a budget of 500 dollars for more parts. I don't plan on OC but I wanted the CPU to not get hot. The purpose of the PC is to play videos games such as 7 days to die.

You can get a much better graphics card for cheaper, and also a much better CPU cooler. With the money you saved you can afford a halfway decent power supply to replace your current unit.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

500 dollars

Given the age of that CPU, I think you are wasting your money on that video card.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Is there something I should be looking for particular with the PSU? The Current system specs are well within the PSU specs?

wattage isn't the only factor. A PSU can deliver enough power and still be crap.

there aren't many uses in gaming for the old FX line, but if you need a plex server or something, or maybe a home theater PC you can disable half the cores and slap a super cheap graphics card in there for some basic web browsing or something.

That or donate them to a very desperate gamer in need. That board along with like $200 makes a good ultra budget machine for someone scraping together a PC.

just consider it giving AMD a booster shot to help develop Ryzen, that's all.

Actually now that I think of it, the CPU and board and memory can stay if upgradability is the utmost concern. Just a CPU + board + RAM swap will get it up to mainstream gaming rig status, while starting with Ryzen at first means using weaker GPU hence not fairing so well over time.
