Buy now or wait?

I've been wanting to get an R9 290 for a while now, but I've been waiting for the prices to go back down. My birthday is in two weeks, and I would like to get a graphics card with the money I receive. Will the 290 be returning to normal prices any time soon? Is it worth waiting, or should I go with a GTX 770 or 780?

Same as what Tea1337 . Go for a 700 series such as a 770 or 780 or wait for the 800 series which should be coming soon.

They probably won't be going down any time soon so..... Yea get a 780. And if you want even more performance save up a bit more and get a 780ti, or just wait until maxwell comes out and you could get those or get the 700 series cards probably at a lower price than what they are the current time.

The demand is too high with crypto-currency, even when the price crashed.  I would go a 780 to not get jipped on the pricing
