Hey, I'm currently looking for a computer for my little brother for around 250-300 usd for minecraft. He needs wireless networking too.

If he wants a desktop, go with a used or refurbished dell optiplex, and if you think u need more graphics, a $20 gpu from microcenter or amazon will be fine.

If he wants a laptop, i would recommend this one: link

i like trains 🙂

You didn't mention if you needed peripherals like a keyboard and mouse and a monitor so I didn't add it.

Here's a bare minimum build just for Minecraft. This one is running the graphics on the AMD's APU but if you want a more capable GPU we can probably add a cheap one.

I mean peripherals will be needed. Don't have any spare peripherals if any thing Intel may be a bit of a better choice cause old ones are cheaper and ddr4-2400 will work plz thanks for the help currently

Something with a real upgrade path.

You don't want to lock yourself in without a proper upgrade path for the CPU. This build list gives you some room to get a cheap monitor off eBay and a used mouse and keyboard as well.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
