does it help to add new Thermal Paste to GPU?

its a simple yet (IHMO) important question

i have an old GTX 1070 FE from 2016, could it have any performance/coolant impack to apply a new CPU paste between the GPU and the Stock Heatsink?

(ps here is some quickly temps i just tested)

Idle: 44c

After 1 min behchmark: 74c

After 2 min benchmark: 81c

After 3 min benchmark: 82c

It won't harm your GPU, but it can help. Go for it.
