This is an ebay listing for a GTX 1030. It is priced at £37.91. I think this is too good to be true.

It's fake.

  • No brand/manufacturer details
  • No model number
  • Generic cooler and shroud design
  • GT1030's (most) don't have VGA ports (there are a few special VGA versions that have them, but most Pascal generation cards don't have VGA ports)
  • GT1030's don't require additional power (pictured card has a 6pin power connector)
  • It claims to have 2 x 90mm fans for "Large wind capacity and strong heat dissipation" despite clearly only have one fan in the pictures
  • The "Video Output" image showing DisplayPort and HDMI is clearly fake since the card pictured above clearly has a VGA port
  • If you look closely at the fan plugged in to the fan header you can see that the fan doesn't properly fit in the fan header. It's a 2pin fan plugged in to a 3pin socket. This indicates that the fan/cooler isn't original to the card.
  • The Nvidia feature picture is from a GTX1660
  • Included CD with "Nvidia Drivers" on it (this is because if you download the drivers from the Nvidia website it won't work with the card)
  • Product description: "GTX 1030 Ti is built with the Turing architecture, get bigger performance boosts in modern games."... No such thing as a GTX 1030 Ti, and 1000 series cards are Pascal not Turing.
  • "Memory: 2GB. Memory Interface Width: 192Bit" (GT 1030 has 64bit memory bus width)
  • Another image describes it as the "GTX1030" (no such thing) and "128bit" (see above)

They couldn't make it any more obvious if they put "FAKE! THIS CARD IS FAKE!" in the listing title.

I seriously wonder why ebay does not shut down such shops since they sell fake products and even make straight up false product descriptions. Thats fraud.
