I'm looking to play the Everquest Next Landmark alpha/beta, and I need a rig that can play it. Here are the requirements: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/everquest-next-landmark-alpha-system-requirements-revealed/1100-6417346/

I've never built a computer before, but I want to learn how, so detailed explainations on why you pick one part would be appreciated. My budget is 800 for the absolute max, but I'd like it closer to 500 if that's possible, and I'm okay with used. I have a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and speakers, and I don't need the OS.

Would something like this work for the power supply and case in that build? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Linkworld-LC313-11-ATX-Middle-Tower-PC-Case-With-500w-Power-Supply-/350648196720?pt=US_Computer_Cases&hash=item51a442de70

probably not, generic 500W PSU, power supply is something you do NOT skimp on ever you want something can deliver the rated power whenever its needed, not deliver it for a few seconds then drop back to a lower rating

It would, I would NOT recomend it, CHEAP PSU=BAD! And thats kinda a cheap plastic case. I would just go with what i said, a very nice looking and very small case.

Since you said you live near a Microcenter you can knock off $50 off this price since the A10-7850K is only $130 + tax and you get a free BF4 code which you can sell.

Dual Graphics woo!
