I don't think comparing Google to Skynet is necessarily accurate. They're more like Umbrella Corporation, don't you think?

That is, of curse given the fact that most people connect Skynet to intelligent, humanoid machines (which is more towards Google's direction) and Umbrella Corp. to zombies.

Now if you think about it, Umbrella itself had nothing to do with zombies, and was more focused about economic conquering the world and experimenting with stuff.

Skynet on the other hand was just self-aware software connected to some military hardware capable of doing heavy damage. Pair that with desire to wipe out humans, and it all starts make no sense to compare Google to Skynet.

 

I know that video wasn't comparing those, but people tend to do that in discussions right away, especially after watching stimulating content like this one.
