Light gaming and general school uses. With the 550 I don’t want to have so much of a bottleneck.

would suggest the R5 2600. yes it may seem abit high end for your RX 550 right now, but with a R5 2600 you can easily keep using the cpu for years to come when you eventually upgrade your GPU

I have recently upgraded my motherboard but now I have a dilemma. What cpu? I’m trying to get the best I can while also staying under $125usd. I don’t mind going over but feel like that is a bit of a waste for my use case. At current, I have been looking at ryzen 2200g, 2400g, 3200g, and the 3400g. I also, out if curiosity, looked into the price or the 1600 and 1600x. They also sit in my price range. So, any thoughts?

The CX 2017 is solid or for cheaper the CXM 2015/2017 for budget.

Ok. I was looking at a seasonic s12III. I’ve heard good things about the brand and felt it was a good price for the features.

It's quite old so I would recommend the one I mentioned :)

It's a good brand but this is an older model. If you want to stay with Seasonic, I recommend the Focus Gold models.

Ok. I’ll give a look at both and see what looks good. Again, thanks for the help.
