FPS drops in every game.

Hey all! I’ve been having bad frame drops in all games for a long time. Initially I thought it was bad parts so I’ve swapped out every part of my pc over the last 2 months (with the exception of my gpu, but i tested a friends and the problems still occur) and I swapped out my cpu for a new one 8 months ago and still I have FPS problems in all games. I understand that you will get FPS drops but in games like cs go on low settings I still get them. I’ve reinstalled windows numerous times, updated every driver and bios and still nothing. My temps in games seems fine too. The odd time my pc will start up and turn back off straight away. And sometimes it will go into automatic repair. Which is weird on new parts.

 

my specs are as follows:

Gtx 1070 

i7 7700k @ 4.2ghz

hyper fury x 16gb 3200mhz

asus Strix z270 gaming k1 mobo 

Samsung 850 evo 500gb 

evga 650 gold plus psu

Are you running any softwares for your periferals? if you are, try uninstalling those and try running your game again, some of those type of softwares might missbehave. if you are running windows 10, u might want to disable xbox game bar if you have not done that allready : ) do you have any oher old drives installed? if you have not already done so, unplugg them to test.

You might also want to try installing a different windows version, since the issue could be windows 10 related.

Tried all those things before. I have w10 Pro and I installed home on a separate hdd and still nothing. But maybe I’m doing it wrong.

I would try to install windows 7, just to eliminate the possiblity that windows 10 is the issue. clean install no unnecessary softwares, run a test game install one and one software as you progress etc. by this time you might have eliminated software all in all, so conclusion is most likely HW related included cabling.

Try running ram at 2400mhz instead of 3200, might be something related to ram overclock

UPDATE: tried what you said and still nothing. Im pretty stuck as to what it could be

ram is at stock so is cpu

oh well, have you swapped out all of your HW including your drives? a quick google search about your drive seems to point to some issues with the power management. u might want to try a different drive, look at this reddit post.
