what's stopping you from using a microUSB to regular USB cable, then plug an external usb ethernet card in the end of the cable?

this is for the google home mini. the power plug is not detachable on the other side. so it goes straight from power to microusb

yes... but I want a male microusb so I can use the power adapter in the box. I dont have a spare power brick

 

edit: something like the chromecast ehternet adapter but cheaper

never mind. I got it to work on my university wifi. I dont need this anymore. but I will leave this open in case other people want to see this too
