1660, 1660ti, vega 56 or rather 5700,2070 etc

Hi guys,

wanting to build 2 new PCs next year.

1000 to 1200 Euros to spend.

Ryzen 5 3600 seems like obvious choice for this Budget.

What GPU?

I first wanted to go 1660, then in Anthonys Vid for Budget options it said "if Budget =1000 -> Vega 56.

Only Vega 56 variants available are MSi, Asus or Gigabyte, which I was told... suck.

So what do?

Thanks ahead!

How far into next year?

If it's a ways off, wait. See what happens price wise.

I wouldn't buy Vega56 new.

I went from a Vega 56 to a 1660 ti, all around the 1660 ti is easier to work with, while Vega can be pushed farther af a massive cost to electrical bills.  I would figure out the total cost of everything else in the build, and then dedicate what is left over to the most powerful GPU possible

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Probably early 2020, so January or February.

I see.

I have no need to push limits, since I am looking for overall quality and I fear cheap built GPUs, so maybe the 1660 ti is the way to go.

1080p with nice quality and framerate is fine, no money or space for a good enough 144hz Monitor making 1440p worth it.

it all comes down to price

$200~

new 1660 or used gtx1070

(note that upcoming 1660 super shall be comparable to 1660ti at cost of 1660), 1660 TI isnt worth it

this is just enough for 1080p 60hz gaming at ultra

$400~ rx5700

but roughly just 50% faster than 1660

I actually run mine at 1080p/144hz, it's a good pairing.  You can always use more juice for high refresh rate, but IMO the 1660 ti class of gpus are perfect for the entry bar to 144hz
