If you have complete disregard for warranty then get the 780. 

 

Buying used graphics cards is like buying used underwear, you run the risk of inheriting somebody else's skids.

What kind of return policy does the refurb have?

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Depends on what warranty the refurb comes with. Here we get the same warranty on refurbs as we do with new products so the choice would be obvious. You're not really risking much with the refurb though. I've bought plenty and I'm yet to have one fail.

The 780 has a 1 year limited warranty

what store is selling the 780.
