I myself use high end mobo. Asus strix x570-E which is over 300 euro. What is your budget? Get Asus prime-p for the budget or get strix x570-f or x570-E for high end

Any x570, B450 or X470 motherboard with at least TWO green checkmarks, in the 75A and 100A columns.

on x570, Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite  and Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus (both with or without wifi) are great for the money.

MSI B450 boards have good heatsinks on the VRMs, and a lot of them have flashing of BIOS through USB, even without CPU installed, so if you get a motherboard that sat on shelves for some time, you can update the latest bios to add Ryzen 3xxx support just by inserting a USB stick and pushing a button.

I don't really have a budget in mind but I prefer bang for the buck, I don't want high end mobo if its only give small improvement.

in that case the msi b450 tomahawk max should be the pick of your choice. solid board, not too expensive and can handle a 3700x

Close to a Microcenter?  Good deals there, and get a $30 for a CPU/MB combo.   I picked up a Asus Strix x470-f, and it works great.  A bit of fiddling, but my 3800x works great on the board.
