One warning - there's basically 0 practical difference between the i7/i9 parts and the more recent ryzen parts unless you have a 2080Ti and run at low resolutions. 

If you "only" get a 2080 (or run a 2080Ti, Titan V or Titan RTX at 1440p or higher) they're effectively tied. 

 

But none of the Ryzen headache.

You plug in your stuff, you touch 0 BIOS settings (maybe RAM profiles) and it works well enough. MAYBE flash the BIOS in a few months for laughs. 

Saying this as a guy who went for pretty much the cheapest boards I could find with 4 RAM slots.

I tried Ryzen in gen 1. Went through 3 motherboards and 4 RAM sets, none of which worked with each other. After that, I went back to Intel, which has never had an issue with anything I've plugged into the board. Their cooler mounting also sucks.
